Found a 58 fury in field that is fairly complete less one air cleaner and the door trim. It is really rusty and hasnt run for many years. 318 poly. The guy wants $6000. Should I jump on this or can anyone help me figure out what this is worth. Thanks and any input would be great. He just decided to sell so once its on the market Im not sure what will happen.

I have just regular pics not digitals. The guy told me the frame is very rusty as well as floor pans, trunk etc. He said he should heve put it inside 25 years ago. He said it was way more than he could fix so someone said sell it for the value of the parts. Thats the figure they come up with. Its along ways from me so I would have trans costs also.

I don't know on that, maybe if it's an actual Fury not a Belvedere with Fury stuff it maybe worth the money but I don't know like some of the other guys know.

If you have a scanner if they are developed already or take them to some place to be put on cd

The door panels are exclusive on the Fury, if the armrests are built into the panel it,s a Fury if they just bolt on, it's a Belve, that's providing the sportone is gone and you cannot tell if its gold, also dual quad cars came with 150mph speedo

Yes the armrests look like they are made right into the door panel. Most of the stainless and gold trim is there on the sides, it has the 150 speedo, gold grill, dual rear antennas, bumper wings, and the vin says LP2E then 5 numbers below that. I will try to get someone to scan the pics and so I can get them posted. Thanks again!

By looking at the door jams and other places it looks like the car was the off white in color also. The interior is very ratty looking and looks like it has never been messed with. It doesnt appear the car has been touched for alot of years. Too bad it is such bad shape but I suppose someone would restore it. Until I see it in person I cant say I wouldnt but certainly wasnt looking for this big of a project. What is a real fury valued at these days in restored condition? I have to believe you would have more in it than it was worth but maybe not. The parts alone got to be worth quite alot.

A nicely restored Fury can go for $50,000-$60,000, for a genuine car. There have been ones at auction that sold for over 100G, but that was a few years back when the investors were buying cars.

I'm working on the pics but this is not one of my strong points sorry to say. I am getting help. I wish I was closer to the car I would go look at it myself and make my decision. Its all new to me and I dont want to get burned but I dont want to miss out on it if its worth the money. He is taking more pics tomorrow of the under carriage and trunk and floor pans. Yes all 4 wings are there and appear to b very restorable. ----Jeff

Poor old Fury, looks like it would be nice for parts but I am not an expert like the other members.

Shocked Whatever they did to the left rear makes me wonder what in the world were they doing.

Sure looks like a 58 Fury. Up side. You have over $6,000 in origional Fury parts on that car. Downside is the way she sits on the ground there is a good chance enerything underneath is rotted pretty bad. You need to look at this car in person if you are interested.

Interesting!

She's wearing cruiser skirts that appear to be the real thing!

Those are worth about $1000 by themselves if not rusted out.

Bumper wings tooo. Make sure the vin plate is on the door as well as the data plate on the firewall…Good luck, offer $5,500, she needs work, but, she’s the real thing….

Hi Jeff,
Are you going to purchase this Plymouth and if not please dont wait to long to decide before someone else buys it. If you decide not to buy it, give me the go ahead and I will save her tomorrow. Please let me know,

Joe,
I am going to purchase the car and a four door parts car. I have to figure out the trans for them as these carrs are about 900 miles away. I thank everyone for their input. Will followup on this and post more pics when this all concludes.

WOW. What a exciting find. The wings alone are worth over a third of the cost. I see some pretty ruff cars going back together on the forum. Cool

I hope you consider restoring the Fury rather than parting it out! You don't find Fury's in a field anymore. The holy grail of Plymouths right there. Savor this moment Jeff! Smile

Hey Jeff, Good find, It is a wonder somebody didn't get it before you found it. I think you made a good buy. Send pictures we love pictures. That is the only way we can see what other people or members are doing.

I hope I am not jumping the gun but I have a deal made for the fury and am very anxious to get money to exchange hands. I have had deals like this before only to have them fall thru at the last minute. I thank everyone again for your comments and am so thankfull I am a member of this club! I hope to have the fury home soon and post more pics of it for everyone to see. I just wanted to say that all my talking to people at swap meets, car shows etc. has netted me this opportunity to buy this car. I think there are alot of cars out there to be found yet and if we keep trying we will weed them out one by one and get them into the hands of people who really care about them and want to preserve them and not just turn a quick dollar.
