Wow! Badass Ride! 1964 Galaxy one of my Faves with the 390 ,great bodystyle, great engine reminds me of.....

My Pops is a Ford Fanatic too , hes had a whole bunch over the yrs including a 63' galaxy convert and a 57' Skyliner.
My uncle Carlos whome I was named after ,R.I.P. worked for Carrol Shelby Himself in the 1960s he owned many Cobras himself ,back then they werent anymore expensive than a Corvette ,he even gave may Pops one someone had put a slant 6 in it! My dad sold it becauase he didnt like the slant 6, whodve known they someday be worth a million dollars or better?

Awesome car and a 390 automatic is what I look for in one of those cars because I know how good those engines are, most of those engines in the 70's went out of the cars into the trucks until Ford ran out of them if I can remember right.

Nice car Joe. Sad thing is I remember those cars well. Sign of age. Ford built some nice rides. I had a 59 Galaxie 500 and it was a good looking car and a nice ride.

Joe The 64 Galixy I had was red and had a 390 supossed to be rather never did check the numbers or anythinhg like that bujt I have a feeling iot had more then a 390 in it. Because that car would really smoke the back tires and go like a streak. Very fast, My 63 Tbird had a 390 in it and it didn't have near the power as the Galixy'

A story abut the Galixy, well I found one of the old 2 bladed Case Knives was under the seat in a Holster, I gave it to my Dad, when my Dad Passed in 1975 I gave it to My Uncle Hubert Dads Brother, When he Passed away My cousin Bill < The only other Boy Scroggins out of my dads Six brothers, everybody else had girls Smile Bill Has two Boys and I have one Boy by my first wife of two years, Well Bill gave the ZKnife back to me and I have it now. Has a ot of History behind it. Smile

I like those '64's! Owned plenty of them in the past. By the way, I found a barn find '64 X/L with factory 4-speed and 427 last week. The owner is suffering from health issues, and is selling this and other cars he owns. I checked the serial numbers, and it is an honest R-code car, with just 41,000 miles on the odometer.

If your father is interested, I will supply the telephone number of his daughter, she was quite helpful in showing me around that day. The price for the car is $25,000, but the car is WELL worth it.

a factory restored R code 427 4 speed XL i have seen on Ebay for big big money, my dad said he just wants a driver now his radical 427 drag racing days are over, thank you very much for the offer though. in the ford world that is almost like finding a 1958 Plymouth Fury but i guess youve found one of those also lol!
