Old Mopars
I picked up the '39 Plymouth sedan, and took photos of the '46 sedan I bought in Lake county, and the'46 Dodge pickup she has for sale. Allan assisted on getting the '39 onto the trailer, as the steering was disconnected. Also, the body is setting on a '57 Plymouth chassis.

Those 39 Plymouth were used here when they were new as Police Cars. I like the 30's and 40's cars as well.

That's cool!

I'm not really sure what the most common police vehicle was here in those years, but I do have a '59 Coronet CHP pursuit car here, and have had a '61 Dodge and '61 Plymouth [local patrol car] in years past.

Cool Great finsd John, I am really jealous of all the great cars you pick up. Here about 20 years ago anytime they were a Mopar around somebody would calland let me know about it. LOL:)

No Dice on the Hudson, but I can ask Ed if he has one. I think I saw one some years ago in one of his buildings.

I presently have a '57 Cadillac hearse that was made into a pickup truck.Last complete hearse I had was a '52 Cadillac, about 7 years ago. Before that, a '64 Pontiac hearse, and a '59 Mercury Ambulance, and a '59 Dodge ambulance. It's a shame, but 15-20 years ago, there were numerous nice examples to be had cheap, but at the time, they were considered undesireable, and most were either demo derbied, or scrapped. Luckily, some were saved, but it has driven the price up.

I picked this '39 Dodge up today in the mountains, looks to be quite solid. I stopped for a roadside break, and spotted the remains of a '30-'31 Model A coupe in the gulch at the bottom.

Nice find.

Monday I saw a nice Plymouth 40's early 50's for sale but our car broke down because of either the fuel pump or the relay, it will have to wait until next month to fix it althogh I hope i could see that Plymouth again some time soon.

It seems I fall in love with all the cars you get, you are the great finder.

That Plymouth looks like the one I saw a few days ago in the next town over, how much they usually go for in that condition?

Also who does your site because the complete cars page never shows and it hasn't been up for awhile and I keep forgetting to email about it?

Not sure what the exact measurement from axle flange to axle flange is, but the backing plate to backing plate measures 51 inches.

These are the narrow rears that are often used in streetrods.

I know a guy up in Butte county that has five or so convertibles, what kind of condition and price is your friend looking for?

Let me know, Wayne, and I'll check.

Hi Matt,
I figure a car like that is worth about $1200.

Thanks for the heads up on the website, My wife does the website and has been having troubles with that area.

He prefers a 64 triple black convertible in restorable condition. Cheap as possible considering the cost to transport from CA to NY.
