Ok fans of Christine ive got great news for you all out there. For the past five years ive been working on the screen play for a second Christine movie and after some time with spit and polish it is almost complete. I am looking at shooting locations in Lancaster/Palmdale CA area and found a salvage yard for the second Darnell's Salvage. The screen play will be ready by the end of this month ( Aug ) and my partner and I will have to re-register it with the WGA ( Writers Guild of America ). Wel will make a presentation to Columbia Pictures and see if there game for it. I have the soundtrack selected and there will be more info as the time comes.

If it is about a 58 Plymouth and don't downgrade the 58 Plymouth and Christine it would be ok, But if it is not a 58 Plymouth and so on I feel it would be better left alone. A lot of the sequeals hurts the real movie. I would hate to see it made a mocery. If It took off where Christine came out of that bail of metal it would be ok. Other then that. I don't think I would care for as remake.

You have a lt of serious Christine fans on here and in the world, I don't feel that they would want her Discreated. Smile

Ok ok i know you die hard enthusiest love Christine as much as i do but i give you my word Christine is going to still be a 58 Plymouth. I am going to pitch the idea to Columbia Pictures who as you know is the parent company of the first Richard Kobritz owns the books rights but it is my theory Columbia owns the movie rights. Im looking to begin production at the end of this year and make a time for the release between Oct - Dec of 2013 wich mark the 30th aniversery of the first Christine. Im not going to give any spoilers just yet other than it takes place 25 years after Christine was crushed and left for dead. The special effects are going to be awsome and the story line will have twist and turns but make no mistake im keeping it true and better to the original. In the next few weeks i will give the full synopsis of the story and the music selections.

Thanx for the feed back and you have my word the movie will be true to form and one of the goals is to make sure no Pymouths will be hurt during the making of the movie. Since Temrinater 2 and its special effects it opened a door to what can be done and now in todays technoligy the possibilities are limitless.

Hey Jim they can;t catch RedSled to crush her, They can use special effects like they did at the ending of Vanishing point . I think most of you know at the end of Vanishing point where the Challengerhits the bulldozers, Well it was a Camero. They just didn't want to wreck a great car and Camero's are a dime a dozen. lol!

For the past few years that ive been working on the script i have had every one become a professional and put in there two cents. Its amazing what people will come up with and think there idea is far superior to mine. To make one exapmle the radio in Christine is taken out and put in to another car and someone else suggested that Christine should be a newer car. I just held my words and nodded and said thank you for your input and just continue to do what i feel is right. I started writing the script ( rough draft ) by hand in 2004 and i had what i thought was the final draft ready by 2007 so i printed it and sent a copy to the Copywrite Office in Washinton DC. But as the years went by i had a change of heart on some scenes and re-wrote it So now here i am i got it Copywrited and registered in my name and by the end of this month i will have to re-register it with the WGA. I took time with selecting the music and careful thought to shooting locations. Its been a labor of love and i can tell you there wont be any " F " bombs being dropped and in fact the goal is to have a strong PG-13 rating. Its a Psychological thriller ( when writing i thought what John Carpenter would do ) and i wanted to keep the gorey violence to a minamin. There will be a little something for everyone there will be drama, action, romance and humor. My goal is to have a healthy movie that all Christine fans will like and enjoy watching.

yeah its too hard to get big numbers in the box office with a "R" rating but the F bombs are what came from Stephen King without him there never would have been a Christine. i think thats why the original was rated "R" merely because of the language

I have the Special Edition Chrstine on DVD and the writer Bill Phillips said that he wanted to have a strong " R " so he added the cuss words in fact he said that when the movie came out it had the F bomb dropped more than any other movie of its time ( that is until Scar Face came out ). This movie im doing will not be soft in fact this will be so action packed that you will wish the theater seats came with seat belts. Buckle up ladies you will be going on an " E " ticket ride.

Any updates? I would like to see the car come back from the "scrap cube" perhaps after someone cuts themself on a piece of sharp exposed metal. It gets the taste of blood.

I just discovered this thread. This is exciting news. I'm glad to hear there won't be any f-bombs in the sequel and...that the car will remain a 58 Plymouth. The use of f-bombs was the only thing I didn't like about the original although...Darnell was comical and I don't think he would have been nearly as good without the cussing. I wish I could show my 11 yr. old niece the movie but the f-bombs prevent that. She loves old cars and she knows I'd like a 58 Christine some day.

Hi furvedere I agree that Darnell was funny when he cussed i was 13 when the movie came out and me and my buddies would sit around and quoat from his lines all the time. But for this movie I went in another direction and i think age and maturity are a factor.More details will follow in the near future.

Bob you can always look for Christine playing on tv where all the swearing is cut out to show your niece, i know this is much more difficult.

i grew up around adults and i always knew that swearing was a foolish thing that just made you sound uneducated i used to watch a lot of horror films growing up i dont think it messed me up too bad :affraid: Evil or Very Mad
