Hey newplymouthowner to the club. Any chance you can post some pics of your ride in our Members Rides section.
If I was to put belts in my hearse I'd used retractable lap sashs. I have these in my 68 Impala and think they are pretty clean and they come in red

plus you could replace the GM logo on the buckle with

95% of the classic cars i see in NY pre 1964 do not have belts because they didnt come with them, other then the very rare 1948 Tucker

Believe it or not, JC Whitney always had good quality seat belts with the chrome buckles, rather than the black plastic ones a lot of the auto outlets carry.

I bought this ones last year and wanted to install them initially when I do the interior. They look nice and have the right red tone to match the new interior. But now I don´t know if I will ever install them. You don´t need to upgrade when the car did not come with them. But when you upgrade, you MUST use them! That´s German law Rolling Eyes

Yean Bob she's a Canadian export with the steering wheel on the right side. She was converted to a hearse when she arrived here in '68. The owner kept all the rear trim and rear seat and I got that when I bought her in 2003. The hearse tray has been removed and now she's a grocery getter again Twisted Evil

They have a modified '65 Impala dash. I replaced the idiot warning light and clock with a 4 gauge cluster and tachometer from a '65 SS.

US cluster (long) & Aussie cluster (short)

And the wipers are a little different

BC Classic and Performance is a place im looking at to get my seat belts. They have a set of front 74 " and set of rear at 60" for around $75 with free shipping. I sent them a few interior pics to see if they can match it. They are sending me 4 different color samples for me to choose from. I got my fingers crossed they have something really close. I will keep ya'll posted ..Charlie and Carlyn.
