I bought this 1969 Plymouth Fury III in early 2005 in southern Pennsylvania. I was especially attracted to this car because it was factory red...with the red interior. At that point, I don't ever recall seeing a red interior in a C-body. I always saw black. I immediately started working on "Big Red" as it was in need of a cosmetic restoration. I did all the metal straightening work myself as the passenger side had been side swiped. I mig welded metal patches in all the typical spots: lower 1/4's and fenders. I then hired out the paint work to a local shop. I had the front seat recovered at Legendary Auto Interiors (some of you may have heard of them). I've since had the top/front end of the engine apart as the timing cover (aluminum) developed pin holes in it. I found a new timing cover, reassembled and the durable 318 is still running great. I've also removed the old points and added electronic ignition...and rebuilt the 2 barrel carb as well. Upgraded the radiator one size a few years back. I've also had the rear bumper rechromed. The paint job has held up beautifully as it still looks fantastic 7 years later. What a fabulous ride...it's like riding on a cloud when cruising down the highway in Big Red. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Bob
