In June 2009 I was invited to the VIP dinner at the local car show and met Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazard. He is a very friendly and down to earth man and he held up a CCC banner and sent a big smile to our club members.



Next he signed a picture of Chaney's car for me and said it was a great car. Little did he know he would get to drive it a couple years later and meet the owner / builder of it.




This next picture is him getting his finger prints all over my die cast before signing it for me. Very Happy I never cleaned them off. Laughing







This is the General he road around town in the next day.







John said at the dinner that this car had a issue with the brakes and did any one know how to work on this model car. He said the owner was all about the go and didn't consider the brakes all that important. HE did. Laughing

Thanks Joe. He was very nice and even did some charity work before he left town. I was real excited to actually meet him in person but it was my daughter that snapped the pictures. Smile

John's a personal friend? Wow. He is the only movie star I've ever even talked to.

Yeah, I did make the mistake of trying to tell John how to drive my own General Lee. Boy howdy, he didn't take to kindly to that LOL!


He did drive it better than I could actually. I was pleasently surprized.
