PostSubject: Power steering kit wanted   Tue Jan 15, 2013 10:37 am

Hey guys, my 58 wasn't equipped with power steering or power breaks. I would like to upgrade to power rack and pinon steering, any ideas on where to buy a good kit?
I did upgrade the front drums to disk breaks last fall but would now like to have a power booster installed as well. Kits or decent suppliers would be greatly appreciated.

PM Furyjim here and ask him. He had 58's with rack and pinion and is an ace mechanic.

Do you want a factory Power Brake setup? If so ask Big 'M', John Fowlie. He should have several in his collection of cars and parts. I am using a 1970 cuda hemi power brake booster with an upward offset to clear my 350. I should have room for my factory power steering I got from Johnny G. I may up grade to an aftermarket tilt column and a delphi 500/600 power box with quick ratio (12:1 or so) I heve one for a 1957 chevy that may work with some double D shaft and a joint. Marc.

She'll start; You'll need these...
