For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phillippians 1:21

I have asked a number of scientists concerning life after death, and most of them say, "We just do not know." Science deals in formulas, theories and test tubes. But there is a spiritual world that science knows nothing about and totally ignores.
Because many do not believe in life after death, their writings are filled with tragedy, doom and despair. The writings of William Faulkner, James Joyce and many others are filled with pessimism, darkness and misfortune. Sadly the same was often true of their own lives.
How different from Jesus Christ who said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25-26. Our hope of immortality is based on Christ alone - not on our desires, longings, arguments or instincts of immortality. And because we know Christ is alive, we have hope. Hope for the present and hope for the future - life beyond the grave.

Dear Lord, Help us to never forget what a wonderful promise Jesus gave us when He said " Whoever believes in Me shall never die." Help us to rest in this peace while drawing us closer to You. Please continue to increase our faith so that through us, others will be drawn to Christ as well. May this be our purpose while we are here on earth.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
