I need a pr of the old school side sticks for the rear seal cap for a 440 I think from 350 t0 440 will work. I bought one of the new hot dog silicone ones and put in but I don't like them They have funky ones that come with the seals any more if any at all.
Some guys just fill it with silicone but I don't like that. Another way is fill it with twine and keep beating it in with a nail that has the sharp point taken off. You put in some twine and use a small hammer with the nail, Takes a while but it does work. Old school.

Smile If anybody has any let me now and Will figure out a price and I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks Bob

Bob, I checked the stack of old gasket sets I have here, but didn't have any luck. If I had some, they would have been yours.

Have you tried asking at a Napa parts store? Seems to me I lost some of those when rebuilding a customers engine, and I was able to get a Fel-Pro set singularly, and not have to buy the entire set.

John They are almost impossable to find any more. I put one of the new hot dog one in that was made out of silicone with a hollow inside, I do not like them Im going to take it out. Hemi George said he would look but havent heard from him . I have several racing friends to call mabbe they will have some. If not the twkine thng I told you about works great but takes some time, You have to keep putting the twine in till it is solid like steel. Smile

Joe here is the new verson of them and they are made ouht of silicone. I put them in but didn't like them. I have talke to a couple friends of mine that are Mopar guys and engine builders and they say they don't use them anymore they have went to silicone quite a while ago. They don't use the strips but silicone the backside of the cap at the rear of the engine block . They use the grey ultra or a product called the right Stuff.

So that is what Im going to do. Thanks so much Joe. Smile
