Does anybody know the paint options for the 58 Plymouth Silver Special? I have seen white and silver mostly but also red and white? Does anybody know anything about it? Thanks

Silver Special was a Plaza model in 1958. Basic colors were white with a painted silver roof and insert. Plaza script was replaced with a forward look emblem. The name silver special came from the small up grade package to the model hence the car would not have come without the silver paint so that rules out the red and white car unless some one painted it. Didn't come red and white from the factory. Can't tell you if the car came in other colors of Silver roof and insert and Other color.

A lot of mystery with these cars and production numbers I am finding. So far the misty green and white are the only 2 color options I have seen. I'm digging the white and silver personally. Is the paint code in the VIN number?
