 Help! need steering shaft!

I gotta tell ya, God has been watching over me and my 57 since the get go. Newest miracle: I'm just pulling into a trusted auto shop and coming to a complete stop when POW the steering shaft snaps down by the gear end. I coulda been killed! (hyperventilaes) That's the good news, here come the bad: I need a new steering shaft. I put in a call to John Fowlie at big M, hopefully he can help me out. just in case not, anyone got any ideas for potential sources?

i say power all the way, but thats because i was spoiled with it my whole life, even my first car a 63 belvedere had power steering Very Happy

I have a steering box and worm shaft on its way to Jon.

If you have manual steering with lots of play, beware, as the worm and sector can lose their mesh, which also causes steering loss.
