PostSubject: Beyond Our Understanding...   Wed Nov 06, 2013 10:36 am

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 1 Cor. 2: 9-10

"...the things God has prepared for those that love Him" is quite a promise isn't it? This might just motivate one to dig deeper into God's Word to find out more. There is one problem though. And it's obvious in these two verses as well...We need God's Spirit to understand what He's trying to tell us in His Word...the Holy Bible.

If we read on: The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. I Cor. 2:14

So...a person without God's Spirit considers these things "foolishness". Is that where you are...or are you still somewhat interested at this point? He or she that's still interested may now ask...How can I understand these things? How can I have the Spirit of God in me?

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 1 John 4:2-3

So it's about acknowledging, aka: believing, accepting, receiving the Good News of the Gospel. Have you believed on God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ...that He came to this earth in human form over two thousand years ago...then died on the cross for your sins? Have you received Him in faith as your Lord and Savior? When this happens in one's life...and it's for real, that's when the Spirit of God comes and lives with you.

Dear Lord...I want Your wisdom...I want Your Spirit. Help me to believe in and receive Your Son, Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior so I can start receiving Your wisdom now and some day when it's time for me to leave this earth I can see the things You have prepared for me. I want to be Your child that loves You...because You first loved me. In Jesus' Name, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12 cheers
