Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—eternal life. 1 John 2:22-25 (NIV)

These scripture verses are very blunt aren't they? There's no beating around the bush here. John the apostle "the disciple whom Jesus loved" was writing to first century Jewish and Gentile believers here. Jesus called John and his brother James to follow Him early on in His ministry. [Matthew 4:21-22] Jesus referred to the pair collectively as "Boanerges" (translated "sons of thunder") [Mark 3:17] being that although their nature was of a calm and gentle manner, when their patience was pushed to its limits their anger became wild, fierce and thunderous causing them to speak out like an untamed storm. Well, in my opinion these scriptures are "thunderous" in nature and they certainly get the message out immediately don't they? Sort of like an approaching thunder storm speaks out to us "watch out...bad weather is on it's way."

We too just like the believers in Israel at the time of this writing, have to realize just who the liar is...so we can stay strong in the truth of God's Word. Do you believe what John has written here? Do you believe that whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also? If so rejoice cheers  because just as Jesus Christ lives in you now, you will live with Him in heaven for eternity.

Insight: From the gospel of John 14:5-7: "Jesus, the Way to the Father"
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Prayer: Lord God, I want to know the way to You too. Impress upon me just like these scriptures teach, that Jesus is the way to You. Thank you for sending Him into the world to be the perfect sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12 cheers
