PostSubject: Looking For Peace   Wed Dec 25, 2013 12:31 am

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests. Luke 2:14

The centuries have rolled by and still the world longs for and looks for the peace the angels sang about on that first Christmas morning. Our cities are plagued by violence. Even the land of Christ's birth is in constant turmoil and conflict. "Where is this peace" you ask?

I'll tell you where it is. It abides in the hearts of all who have trusted in His grace. And in the same proportion that the world has trusted in Christ, it also has peace. Yet our world continues to be torn by wars and unrest. It is because sinful man has gone his own way and selfishly desires his own glory rather than follow the One who created him and walk in His goodness. Even in the name of religion man has waged wars!

The greatest war of all however is the war between us and God as we stubbornly rebel against His authority and seize control of our lives giving no thought of Him in the process. But now the war can be over as we yield ourselves to Christ our Lord. Then we can have peace with God, peace in our hearts and peace with each other. Is the war over in your life?

Insight: No Jesus, No Peace...Know Jesus, Know Peace.

Dear Father God, What an unforgettable Christmas it would be to give my heart and my life to You. I want to know peace in my life...I want to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I have sinned and have fallen short of your glory. Please forgive me and wash me clean with the shed blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. It's in Jesus' Name I pray, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
