How about we use this thread to discuss chrome plating. This is a big expense on one of these restorations. Our parts are typical so if any of you have had parts done how about listing what it cost by the part. Who did it and what kind of work or guanantee they gave you and what kind of service you got.

Great idea. I'd like to get some parts rechromed, starting with my dual strut mirrors.

Also, anyone got a price on chroming the interior window frames on a 4 door sedan???

Whoa, whoa. You better watch what you say about my car. She's real sensitive.

They have had Several chrome shops here in my area, but they never really made it for some reason or other. Inviromental had a big part of it. The last one was just so expencive nobody could afford it.

I have not had any chrome work done for several years onj cars. Had some jukebox parts chromed a gew years ago.

Now the Have I think they are still in buisiness but body shops send them out or rather they pick them up at body shops ion this area so they are no shipping.

They are one in Salt Lake City , Ut and one in I beleive in Portland Or, Thsyh both do great work.

I had the Rear and Front Bumper done, around 15 years ago for like 245.00 each and my rear bumper wings for 60 dollars for the pair.

Im sure the price has went up quite a bit since then. Smile
