That's some good information. I don't have windows on my garage door, but I am going to use that zip tie trick anyways. I have too many college kids wandering the area in the Spring and Summer that can look right into the garage and see the SS's or tool or anything in there.

Thanks for the heads up!

Another way to help is to connect a thin line to the lever so that when the coat hanger snaps it the mini gun in the back of the garage lights up! Just remember to set it to full auto! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]LOL!!!!!

I could see Joe (Jag) doing this! Hee! Hee!

Maybe those of us with metal doors could hook an electrical wire to the door and another to the opener release, then when some douche tries the hanger trick; ZZZT! Hee! Hee!

If someone really wants your stuff, they'll figure out a way to get it.

you have that right, they will use a bulldozer if they have to, you cant stop someone if they want it bad enough. my friend had his entire plow, plow brackets and wiring removed from his truck in a parking lot, he was in a store for 30 minutes. the entire plow frame was removed from the truck frame, not an easy job  Shocked

That's crazy, Joe!

Sadly, it was probably some meth head that would turn it in for scrap.

Thanks for posting this Chris...tie wrap's in place. That was a real easy fix...but not so sure what I'll do about "lock bumping". Just amazing what's going on No .

I will be getting different locks for the bumping issue, probably look for Medeco locks.

I just installed new locks when we had the doors installed a few years ago. I guess it's time to replace them again! All our doors to the out side have dead bolts on them, so I'm not too worried about being broken into when someone is home. Plus I keep the .38 near by. But when were not home, that's another story
