Three weeks ago we replaced Lisa's 12 year old Grand Am. The car was slowly falling apart and nickel & diming us. We got a 2009 dodge journey - black, 2WD, 4 cyl, 43K miles. Nothing super fancy but it's nice.
So yesterday we ran errands and when we got back home I noticed a huge scratch in the rear bumper. I know we didn't hit anything so it must have happened in one of the store parking lots.
I'm so angry! This car is brand new to us and now it's already messed up!

i absolutely hate when this happens, if i hit someones car in a parking lot i would have the person paged so it could be repaired. people just do not care anyone. our society is crumbling in front of our eyes

Welcome to my world Clint! That's why Matt has to do all this work on my truck, because 2 low lifes backed into it. It also happened to Diana last year, she was at my parents and some jackwad smashed her driver's side mirror.

Sucks that it happened to you. Shoot a pic to Matt, maybe he can fix it up for you.

We bought a brand new 2012 Toyota Corolla for my wife two years ago....not two months later she came home (really upset) with the driver's door caved in. Even though she's always conscious to park way far away from most of the activity, someone obviously hit her and just left. Man...when a car is brand new, this really raises the hairs on one's neck! Anyways, she was really smart as she thought to explain what happened to the store manager and to see if there was surveillance video available. A few days later they said they were able to review it for her...but since she parked "way out" the surveillance video didn't cover the far reaches of the parking lot. We had to go through our own insurance company to fix it. It wasn't just a couple hundred $ repair. It would up being nearly $1500.00! You may want to contact the store you were at and ask if there's surveillance video. Many stores/plazas have it now. You just might be able to get the culprit's license plate number.

Sorry to hear this Clint
Best wishes to you,

Bob
