I went to the local "Back to the 50's" show and I came across my old car! I sold it in the late 90's and the guy had it repainted at Macco, he also added a 2x4 intake. I should have kept it.

With all due respect Chris, I like the 57 you currently have much better. It had to be good for you to see that the car has been taken care of these years. I sold a nice solid 68 Chrysler Newport years ago...late 90's as a matter of fact. Several years ago, I saw it...without it's engine and drive train and it was just rotting away in a field not too far from my home. I'd much rather see this scenario. That's really cool you ran across your old car.  Very Happy
You know...life is a quite a journey isn't it Chris? And in essence, we really just "rent" all our material possessions anyways. There's only one thing we can take with us. And that's a personal relationship with our Creator which is a gift to us for all eternity. Brings this scripture to mind...(Hebrews 2:3) How shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.

Thanks for sharing the photos with us...really cool!

Bob

Great that you found your old car! But I don't think the Macco paint job was a good deal. Looks dull and the paint is pealing after 15 or so years.

Thanks guys, I was glad to see that it has survived basically the same as when I had it. You get what you pay for when it comes to the paint job but the guy who owns it now said he damaged the finish when he took the car to a self serve car wash and something malfunctioned with the setting controls and the wrong chemical was applied while washing the paint, I don't remember if it was degreaser or something else.
