'57 Fury, '57 Belvedere, and '58 Savoy (red so there was a paperback copy of Christine inside). But you knew that.

Fitting since the Savoy looks like the book car.

PostSubject: Orange '58 Plymouth and pinup girls in Medford   Sun Apr 05, 2015 7:23 am

More of yesterday's orange car (thanks for the background, JAG).

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The show also had an original surf band (the Black Flamingos) and a pinup-model contest. Turns out there are semi-local rockabillies, people somewhere between me and the movie/TV re-enactor '50s (pompadours, leather jackets, cateye sunglasses, and poodle skirts), closer to the latter (but the serious ones have the cars as well as the furniture; I'm working on that), as well as hipsters who do what seem to be real tributes. (I know that to a lot of them, unlike me, it's kitsch.) Sweet.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I didn't take this one.

Somehow I missed these last November...Nice cars you have taken photos of Serge...You also know what you're doing with the camera! Thank you for taking the time to share them with us.

Makes me long for car shows now...after such a long winter! Your photos also makes me realize...how much longer NJ's cruise season is than ours up here...hmmm.

Bob
