I was surprised I still had this one. It has been well worn in the pocket of a dumb teenager through many great memories.

Looks like it was a nice car! That's the trouble, we don't take enough photos when we had the chance. I had a lot of things I wish I would have photographed. Are you contemplating getting another one?

Yes, I am. Watching the 57-58s go for such whopping prices (i.e. The last one we were rooting for Bob to get) has discouraged me somewhat. Fewer and fewer 57-58s are for sale and the ones that are are either snapped up before anyone can consider taking a look or they want $40k for it.

I am a realist. I love the Christines - since I was 14 years old - but here lately I have been thinking that dream is not even close to reality. The C -bodies are more affordable and I can afford one that's not a basket case. They. Are. Fun.

But I am still a few years out from purchasing a "mid-life Chrysler" product. Who knows, I just have to be patient and open minded.

That said, I love watching you guys fix up your cars. I can root for you guys and pick up some skills watching and interacting with you all. One day it might happen. If not, I may just have to adjust and seek out one of Christine's cousins.

You could also consider a 4 door belvedere Joe. Cheaper and just as stunning when done up right. Smile

My first love when it comes to cars was a blue 1982 Camaro.. That was my first money pit! LOL! Had a 400 SBC in it after making some minor adjustments.

That car is awesome! I bet it would strip those tires in a matter of days.....everyone wanted one of those in the 80s.

Four door Belvy.... Ugh....I dunno. If you are gonna drop that much dough.... guess we will see what comes my way. Thanks for sharing the pic of your camero! Love it!

Joe I think I would just hang in there. Sometimes things pop up when you least expect it! Heck I didn't think in a million years I would find one. But by the kind grace of God one is now sitting in my yard Smile  Granted it will need work but at least its something I can work with!

Cheerio Joe! Very Happy

You are right, Brian. I stressed and worried I would never find a suitable old car when I was a teenager. My dad taught me to be patient and I came across that old lady's '66 for $300, just like it looked in the photo. I saw it for sale right on my street! If it's in the cards, God can make it happen when the time is right. When are you going to post some photos of the interior and engine on your girl?

Very good Joe! I love the car in the photo Smile The price was right. My first mustang I bought was right down the street from me. I paid $200. I was all teeth when I bought it! Very Happy I will take more photos of my belvedere once spring shows up! Right now the car is outside with three covers on it. When I stumbled onto it I wasn't prepared for it. So in the mean time she has to sit outside until spring. Then I will move things around and get her in the garage where I will start to bring her back to her glory! I have a vision but lets just see how it all plays out. But after reading your one post I don't want you to give up the hunt Joe. You have the desire and the heart for one of these so keep and open mind.  There are a lot of hidden places these gems can still be sitting in. Mine was in a shed since 1973. So there has to be one out there with your name on it Joe! Keep the faith brother keep the faith!

Thanks, Brian. "...all teeth". That made me laugh. I can relate.

I am not giving up. I am. However, excited for your build. I forgot you were in Minnesota! Man... I get it now. That's no place to work outside! But, Spring will be here before you know it. Can't wait to see you reveal what you have to work with.

I appreciate your encouragement, brother.

-7 Degrees at high noon today with a clear blue sky. No working outside for us in New York either! Good thing I have indoor projects I can get engrossed in to change things up a bit! Laughing

Hang in there and plan ahead Joe. Salt the $$ away and when your ready it'll just happen. Bob has waited several years as well but he is ready now and the right car won't get past him this time around! Smile

Yes, keep the faith Joe! I found both of my plymmies when I wasn't really looking. The first one was totally an accident, I was going to look at a motorcycle and got lost. The second one I was just casually looking at ebay with no intent to buy a car, just curious. They seem to pop up when you least expect it!

Joe...I have known these things you write about...but still...I sure can sympathize with you. We have a few things in common don't we? Hang in there...I still believe good things come to those who wait.
