I know you will give it your touches and bring it home where it belongs. The car screamed your name so much so I heard it here in Minnesota! God has blessed you! Enjoy it my friend Smile

Really good news today...The Auto Transporter called me this morning (much earlier than expected) and said he had a truck right in the Denver area. Look what happened late this afternoon.

Nice! I bet you can't wait to get her home. Always bothered me for someone else to drive my car.

Hoping you post pictures of every step.... Just like this! It's the next best thing to having one of my own.

Hey Bob, can you give more info on the car? What is the history? The pics in the beginning of this thread, was she in an auction or is that someone's private display? Has she been restored previously? What are your plans (keeping original color or painting her red?)? Can we get a lot more pics when you get her home?

Mark, The guy I just bought it from, had it since 1994. He and his father bought it together. They put 904 miles on it total...which works out to about 44 miles/year. Although they drove it very little (as they own 31 classic cars), he said they took it to local cruises and shows. It was stored and put on display at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver. The previous owner (an older woman in Denver) had it restored from what the seller told me. That's when the 57 parts were put on it. No details as to how bad off the car was before restoration but apparently the motor/tranny were replaced at this time. I decoded the VIN and body tag (Thank you Andy!). It was built in LA. an original V8 Belvedere with aluminum sportone inserts. Can't quite read the paint code yet...it was either an all blue bonnet blue car (B B), a misty green top/ivy green body car (E F) or an all ivy green car (F F). I will post many more photos...yes but...I hope you all don't get sick of seeing it.

John...I do not own a car trailer and I have never felt comfortable driving my old cars too far away from home, so I probably won't ever bring it to Carlisle. I frequently travel up to about a 50 mile radius from home but that's about it. I've always wanted to and I think it would be a lot of fun to take a car to Carlisle but I guess I'm just not willing to buy/maintain a trailer just for this purpose. You know when I was young and dumb...I probably would have done this without any thought. I'm getting more conservative with age I guess.

Bob
