Looking to convert my 57 with a 493 4 speed stick to an automatic overdrive transmission. Found many companies that sell Big Block Mopar conversion kits for the GM 700R4 and Mopar A518 transmissions. Anyone have any experience with either transmission in a 57?

No...I'm sorry John I do not, but I bet John of Big M Would have some good info. Let's see if he'll chime in here. I'll at least give your thread a bump...if nothing else.

Bob

John, check out the archive forum from the old CCC. I think you may find some good info in there as well for what you want to do.

Brian.
