Thanks Bob, I've sat in the trunk using a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to span the braces and it held my weight ok and that was before sealing up the holes so the tank braces are solid, now after coating the floor, I think I could get in there just as it is but I don't think I want to chance it. It should be strong enough for anything I would want to put back there though. I may spray it with the bedliner coating to match the rest of the finish.

Even smoother with another coat.

Thanks, I know this is an unconventional repair but, since the car has so much filler already, I figure what the heck!

Looks good Chris. Smile Did you use fiberglass repair kit or something like that?

Thanks Jackie, I used The fiberglass mesh and cloth but no resin, only the Miracle Paint in several layers which really seems to work well. Very Happy

A co-worker of mine gave me a roll of commercial grade rubber mat a while back so I thought it looked like a good candidate for my trunk!

I still have some final trimming to do and I ended up redoing the mat so I used up more of the roll then I had wanted to, but I think it will do the trick.

Chris I don't think it looked bad at all after your repair. You did do a nice job on it. Smile
