How do you tell the difference between the sedan ribbed roof molding and the hardtop molding? I have some molding that seems not to contour well to my cars roof lines.

John, Do just what you're trying to do. Trying to see if it fits would be best way to know for sure. If you're trying to fit a sedan roof molding to your hardtop I would think it would be grossly different and quite obvious.

Before I sold the set I had, I matched it up with what was on my 57 (at the time) and it was obvious that it was a hardtop roof molding set.

If i lay the ones I have on my roof, it would require quite a bit of "force" to make them fit. I was told that you need to bend them by hand as you mount them in order to make them fit.

Hmmm...when you get the chance, measure them end to end...and I'll measure mine to see if they're close...

Aren't the sedan ones considerably shorter because they stop at the rear window?
