All the floor panels in my car are from Black Car. BE WARNED... every one of them needed a serious amount of reworking to make them fit right. All my floors including trunk and trunk drops were from them. They are great quality but you will do some cutting, fitting and reworking to make them right. Smile

My build thread may have some pictures.. Smile

Wow, and I thought they were a good company to buy good quality panels from, that is until just now...

But I guess I should have known for being reproduction parts...
More proof to stay away from repro parts and to just stick with NOS parts or original parts off another car. Smile

As was said, these seem to be repro panels from the 60's and 70's...so they are probably at least decent thickness metal and quality.

Thank you for the report Bloodhound!! Smile I still think spending a little cash for a panel that might need some work, is less nervewracking than creating a new panel entirely. Time will tell once I strip the car.

I totally expect these patch panels to need some fitting and trimming. Im totally fine with that. Smile When you have nothing to chose from beggars cant be choosers. That is the life of owning one of these gems.

Jackie, When you have very limited options for parts sometimes you have to buy what you can get and make it work. Its still better then nothing. Wink  And even the parts that we are buying today are in very limited numbers. Sooner or later the water hole may dry up!

Yep, that is true Brian. Better than nothing. Smile
I guess sometimes I forget what limited parts are available for these cars...

That's right Jackie! Smile Very limited to when it comes to body panels. Heck I would probably buy china knock offs if they were available! :affraid:

You will understand more once you get your 58. Wink

Yeah, I am sure I will understand a LOT more once I do get my '58 Brian. Smile

Because right now, I have the '59 Chevy Impala stuck in my mind with how incredibly easy it is to find parts for her...

Any of the replacement aftermarket panels I've seen need work to make them usable. Used factory pieces are by far the best, if you can find then. Not cheap, but the finished product is so much nicer.
