What makes me wonder about this is what does it mean to acquire. Does this give the rights for Scribner to make movies from such novels? Or is this strictly only rights to the novels for publication?

the only thing this means is that scribner can now republish the "older" stephen king titles under their name. scribner does not do any sort of films
