PostSubject: My New Intake Manifold   Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:38 pm

I put a new Edlebrock Victor manifold on my 58, They are suppose to be the best one out there now for a single 4 barrel carb. I hope will be enough to get me into the 12's.

I still wish I had a couple three more Inches hood clearence but that will have to wait for a while.
Smile It will be the same height as my STR-14 The Victor is 1/4" Taller then the Str-14 but the square bore 850 Holly is 1/4 inch shorter then the 750 Dominator. Smile

I just have the spring on temperary , I put the other one up somewhere I would not misplace it. lol! Hee! Hee!

You know Jim I have always had a heavy foot, when I am driving my driver car I will take off from a stop light, and look back and the other cars will be about a block behind me. Have done it so long that iot weould be hard to breajk the habit. But not so fast that I break the law. Most everbody else is a slow pokey Hee! Hee!

I do,I keep pretending I dont but i havent out -grown it I always find myself going back to doing a car with muscle,While im not really a Racer, I used to have a few cars with muscle, and ive taken a few to the track yrs ago. I dreamt the other night I was taking my' black car for many passes. Its been yrs since I went to the track but im sure itll do 13.9s or at least low 14s after I do put an automatic in it and maybe ill borrow some slicks from a racer buddy, ill eventually take it down to the track on test and tune night at least once I dont think it' be right if I didnt. Hee! Hee! Hee! Hee!

Yeas Carlos have to hav e some fun sometimes. I would rather be at the trsck then any car show. My HeapHerders club not hardly any of them race anymore , but we are going to have a social event this year at The oldies drags at FireBird and well I will jst have to wait and see how many of them show up.

We have what we call cruise Idaho , It is sort of a high rolars deal, They are gone for about a week and stay in Motels and such and the trip is probly a 100o miles or so. Lot od the HeapHerders like to do that every year, But things like that don't seem to Interest me, I would rather spend a week out atg the track.

Well the last of March and we will have our first test and tune. They have a big swap meet there also, Every once in a while I will find me a good deal there, but at least 80 percent of the things azre for chebys. Crying or Very sad

You know Jim those springs don't have as hard as pull then they look like. I had springs on my dominater that were 1/2 the length and a lot smaller around that had a harder pull on them. I lucked out and found these at my Ace Hardware. Smile

Bettsie is still at the shop getting the charging system redone. The battery keeps growing flat and losing charge. I need to take her for club inspection and registration day on Sunday so will try to get some pics of her next to some Aussie valiant and Chrysler's.
