Im almost positive that this is a real side view mirror for a 57-58 Plymouth or possibly a Fury... But I'm not sure so I'll link the photos of it so the CCC can give me some confirmation Smile

Sean, That looks correct to me. But lets see what others say to confirm it. Im still learning the ropes of these cars yet. I do know a lot use the Roberk 330 mirror like what Christine used as a comparable replacement.

Cheers my friend! Smile

I do believe that is an authentic Mopar twin strut mirror, like Brian mentioned, the ones used in the movie were Roberk 330's.

The factory mirrors for '57-8 Plymouth and Dodge were like this one-

Chrysler and Desoto received the twin strut mirrors as a rule, but many Plymouth owners had the dealer install the twin struts.

Yes, I have the twin strut mirrors on my 58 DeSoto Firesweep. This is the best photo I have at the moment. You should be able to see it better on the passenger side.

Sean,
I've never heard them called anything other then fender mount mirrors, but possibly there was another name for them in factory literature.
