http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1958-plymouth-savoy-belvedere-fury-Christine-/160725861831?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item256c0205c7

For auction is this 1958 plymouth hardtop. It is a titled Savoy, but the full run bodyside trim holes indicate it has had numerous body part swaps over the years, making it a candidate for a belvedere or Fury clone. I had a 59 sport fury script that I placed on the driverside rear quarter. Mechanically, this car is very good. She has her original poly 318 with just over 97,000 original miles and a 2 barrel carb. I've replaced a few leaky freeze-out plugs and adjusted the valves. No smoke, and runs smooth. The transmission has been completely rebuilt and has a new clutch and pressure plate. It is the original 3 speed manual with non-overdrive, and has a Hurst floor shifter. The clutch Z-bar was serviced and driveshaft ball, trunion, and bearing kit with dust boot installed. Emergency brake works and the rear is 3:25 gearing. There is a 15 gallon fuel cell in the trunk and an electric fuel pump. The original generator works well. Car has power steering, 4 wheel drum brakes in good shape and a newer dual master cylinder reservoir. New aluminum radiator, new idler arm, upper ball joints and upper control arm bushings. She needs a wheel alignment. All lights, directionals, wipers, tail lamps, and interior lights work. The cars "spartan" horns, hi and low tone are not hooked up. It is a radio delete with delete plate. She is registered, insured and has served as a local driver by me as well as previous owner. I pruchased this car as a driver, not a resto project. Previous owner had replaced the driverside floor and trunk pan with what appears to be scrap pans from a junker. The floor and trunk patch work is crude and sloppy, however intact. The inner front floors were a bit "springy", so I laid some sheet steel to stiffen the floors beneath the split front bucket power seats. The rear bench is original but needs new cover. I have the original front bench seat complete, but needs a complete rebuild as it is basically just a frame. The rockers are good and the rear lower driver quarter is the worst area of rot with a hole that would need a repair patch. The pictures posted try to show as best I could the inner floors before and after the laid sheet steel. The underside pics show the original floors jagged steel in spots. I used POR-15 rust preventive paint where I could. The fenders are good, doors works, windows crank, hood and trunk good. There is new trunk lip weatherstrip but the metal work needs to be addressed. The front and rear windshields lower stainless trim was removed, and debree cleaned out of those channels. The mounting clips were rotted and shot, and the stainless was held in place with window adhesive caulk. The car needs new window channels and sweeps and the bodyside trim holes are covered with rubber 3m adhesive back moulding. There are oversized cooper cobra rear wheels and original front wheels with 57 plymouth hub caps. The front grille is a 57 that has been altered to fit the dual headlamps of the 58 model yr. The front bumper chrome was peeled and faded so was sprayed with a light coat of metallic blue enamel, as was the split rear bumpers and tail lamp trim. The car runs and drives well. She is a driver that from 20 ft away looks good, but make no mistake she is not a show piece. She has been through more preservation than restoration. Driveability and functionality has taken preference over originality. I need to downsize and am offering the car at a relatively low reserve for a rare hardtop that is running and an excellent cadidate for a clone of choice or restoration. I have 57 fender spears, "plymouth" trunk letters that both need rechrome. I have fin top stainless and fin end caps, extra oil filters, the horns and brackets that I will include in winning bid. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements promptly. I will accept a deposit via paypal, but request final bulk payment be in cashiers/certified check, money order or cash as I have had security issues with paypal in the past and remain skeptical even though they have been resolved. Thanks for looking and good luck

Looks like allot of rust "blacked over" not to mention the 57 Fury side trim on the fins. I hate the "mish mosh mix" cars because you never know if it's a 57 or a 58!
