 Hustler stick

Well, it happened. Edna's back bumper vs. a meter pole so one side of the bumper is drooping about half an inch. The Hustler Stick (pole with rubber pad, chain, and anchor) seems the answer; simple torque to pull the bumper back up. Yea or nay?

The right way to do this would be to remove the bumper and straighten the mounting bracket which I assume is what bent. May do more harm than good by trying to force it back into place. If you have no other options you could try a floor jack but again... you run the same risk.
