PostSubject: Ready To Build Your Dream Car!   Tue Feb 14, 2012 1:06 am

For those of you who don't know me my name is Wayne and I am one of the co-founders of the CCC from way back in 2005. My love for Christine started out at the impressionable age of 13 when the movie came out and I've been hooked ever since! I myself had dreamed of owning my own Christine for many years and understand the frustrations that can come from seeking out a reputable and trustworthy builder. I decided to start building these cars 3 years ago after seeing our hobby ravaged by companies like the now defunct MLC who have left nothing but shattered dreams and empty pocketbooks in their wakes. Christine "folk" are a different breed, many of whom have had to make enormous sacrifices and continue to do so in order to own and/or restore one of these cars. If your exploring your options and looking to build and/or restore a 1957-58 Plymouth let me know! I'd be glad to discuss your project and would appreciate your consideration when choosing the right man for the job.

Unlike other "Rock Solid" restoration businesses I DO NOT require full payment up front or make promises I cannot keep. I DO NOT take on more than one car at a time. I build one car from start to finish before I'm willing to take on another project. What you'll find is an enjoyable experience in which your involved all the way where you'll receive regular photo updates and progress reports (RIGHT HERE ON THE CCC FORUM!) as well as no surprises. Unlike those same businesses I HAVE DELIVERED so when your ready let me know and we'll "show those shitters what we can do!" Very Happy

1958 Plymouth "Book Clone" Christine...

You did just a super great job on that car Wayne. I still remember you cutting out the rockers because you found filler. The restoration of that 4 door convinced me that a 4 door done well can be a super looking car. I know that anyone trusting a car to you can't go wrong.

Wayne Great Job , I can remember the problems you had with the car and everything was 100 percent wnen the buyer received the car. You went above and beyond . If I was to have a build I would definatly trust you 1oo percent and know I would have the best job that could be possible. Keep up the good work and who will be the next luck customer for Wayne? Smile

Thanks Guys. I very much appreciate the vote of confidence. Now that the old board is up for archive purposes the original thread can be revisited! Smile

Hi Everyone,
As Everyone can imagine, I truly trust and feel Wayne has integrity beyond any horizon as well as dedication in everything that come's his way. He is truly doing a fabulous job on his "Christine" as well as the frame on resto he did on Bill's 4 door book clone. Just a great job all around.

As Everyone know's, I am an extremely honest person and alway's give an unbiased opinion regardless of how close I am to a person. IMO I think from my expierence's in restoring these 57/58 Ply's they are best restored by 100% full time professional Shop who can devote all time needed to make one of these masterpiece "Christine's". Restoration's IMO are done by Folk's that do 100% of the build and unlike alot of us who are part's changer's, do not rebuild motor, drivetrain, paint, interior, etc. Basically having a Person such as Wayne in your corner is by far an asset for assistance and or advise in your resto as he know's these car's, however IMO he should concentrate on his "Christine" so we can start to do the show's for NO PROFIT unlike other People in the Hobby!

Either way Wayne I wish you the best of luck however you should really think about this endevor as in this hobby, most "Christine" folk's are friend's and from past experience's can become headache's. Still, your expertise is in running our Club and no one's better!!!

Your Friend,
Joe C NY

Good luck brother Wayne. You run your restoration business with the same scruples you've run this club with for the last 100 years and there will be alot of happy folks driving around in their mid life crisis mobiles FO SHO! Just do us all a favor and "refrain" from setting up shop in MN or TN OK????? Smile

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I'm looking forward to building another Christine when the good Lord sends one my way.

I'm very happy with your statement Joe because you are 100% correct. Going with an established Full Time restoration company with a long and successful track record makes perfect sense. Sadly, companies like MLC (And one that need not be mentioned here) who were masters at creating a false image of a reputable and largely successful restoration business taught us an important lesson. There's more to a builder than how big his shop is or how extraordinary they appear. Companies like that lost something along the way and made nothing but empty promises that in the end could not be kept.

When a man has nothing but his reputation at stake and sees each car as a reflection of himself magic can happen. I am only in competition with myself and although my being a "one man show" may be seen by some as a hinderance, it guarantees one thing. 100% of my time is spent focusing my attention on one car from beginning to end. Nothing but absolute perfection will enter the arena. All I have to offer is my reputation and a hand extended in friendship with a genuine desire to make people happy. If someone is looking for something other than that then your right. They best look elsewhere.

FATHER FwdLK?! WHERE YOU COME UP WITH THIS 'FATHER FORWARDLOOK' FECES?!

I got yer father forwardlook, right here! (grabbing crotch with right hand, shaking up and down, with middle finger on left hand raised)

You young whippersnapper! I ought come up there a nd jam a telephone pole or a torsion bar up yer sphincter! You wouldn't know the differnce. Isn't that what whats-his-name down there said in that video?

Naw, seriously, it was some idiotic, hairbrained idea,,,,,,,,,, a 2nd cousin to a brain fart, I suddenly had.

I misteakenly thought you still had that cee-dan. Wouldn't work anyway.

I know. LOL I suddenly had the glorious, dislusional idea of giving you a OM radiator cap, 3/4's set of re-chromed bumper wings, and two chromed skull screw on valve stem caps, and have you build a car under them.

Beautiful car Wayne! It truly does take a very talented and patient person to restore a classic. You did a wonderful job. I may not be fortunate to ever come close to owning such a beauty as a Christine clone. I need to win the lottery. lol! I do enjoy very much for being on here to look at what everyone else has. Thank you all for sharing your pics and projects on here. It dont cost a penny to dream. Wink
