Anyone know a source for outer tie rods and an idler arm? My parts guy says he can't find them from any of his suppliers!

I've gotten tie rod ends through NAPA auto parts, you might check with them or Rockauto.com

If you can find the needle bearing idler arm rebuild kit, they are greasable, and will outlast the rubber bushing ones. I see these kits on E-bay from time to time.

I recommend Ebay. I do a lot of searching there, always steering components available. Many new.

Give "Rare Part's" in California a call. He has all NOS part's that were like Moog. Good quality although expensive. You may need a buisness acct to have them sell to you. Maybe you have a friend who has a resale certificate? Good Luck

If you do need a business account, I would be happy to order these, and then send them to you.

John this company has very nice orig. looking suspension part's. Good quality. Just a bit expensive. A buyer will need a buisness account to purchase anything. That's nice of you.

I concur, Joe. I have been buying parts from them since I opened my first auto repair shop in 1985, and never had any problems. PLUS, all their parts are made in the USA, no Asian parts at all!

I ended up buying Moog tie rods and a moog idler arm rebuild kit off of ebay. All of it is old stock, but made in the USA and best of all - it was cheap Smile
