PostSubject: LIVING WATER   Wed May 22, 2013 9:52 am

"If you knew the gift of God and Who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water." JOHN 4:10

Jesus had a way of communicating deep truths that left people scratching their heads. One of those people was the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well. She first thought He was offering her a literal drink of water. She had no idea who He really was, so what He actually offered didn't make much sense to her.
That's the crucial question for us today, isn't it? Who is Jesus? Before we can understand what He offers, we must know who He is. A teacher? Yes! A prophet? Yes! But that's not enough. Jesus is more. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17. There is only One of whom this can be true. If God's Word says these things about Jesus, then Jesus must be God!
Think of it! The One who invented water offers us Himself, the source of all life; Jesus, the Living Water. And He does not intend that we should only drink once, but over and over again. He will always satisfy our souls to overflowing; His life pouring into us will never run dry.
Do you have the Living Water in you? It's as easy as A,B,C....Admit your need for a Savior. Believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Confess your sins to Him. He's always there for those with a sincere and humble heart.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please give me a drink of your living water. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

So true Bob. Much like the loss in Newtown I was troubled by the children who were killed in the oklahoma tornado. Then I found this...

Matthew 5:45

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

The Joy, Love and wonders of Heaven are beyond measure. The human mind cannot comprehend or begin to conceive of what awaits us in God's kingdom. How often have we as parents and otherwise caring people just "wanted our loved ones home safe". I think God shares that sentiment with us in that he wants us all safe with him in Heaven...The children who die in this world GO TO HEAVEN, to the Father and into Paradise.

Those of us who are left here have an obligation to do God's work and help the suffering of the world. We fight the battle here and our good deeds empower the holy spirit to do Gods will here on Earth. Forgetting or neglecting that obligation empowers Satan. Stand and be counted amongst the righteous everyone. Help someone in need as fast as you can.

"We'll make it better ha? Can't hurt us anymore. Not if we work together. We'll show those shitters what we can do."
.......Arnold "Cuntface" Cunningham
