Well here's some pics of my Superbee resto underway. Unfortunately I can't find any of the car when I first got it . those were on my old phone. So I'll have to start with what I have. here's a couple to get started I'll add a couple ever other day till I get to where I am at now on the build.

I love these cars Walt. The 68-69 Super Bee and the 68-69 Road Runner are two of my favorite cars.

Joe your right parts are a lot easier to get for these than the 58, but since it's still a mopar product the parts are still expensive.

Jim I agree. it's got o be one of ma Mopars greatest muscle car body styles ever.

John that's what I'm hoping to have on the license plate KLLR BEE

Well Wayne. I went to look at a Camaro for a friend and while we were there. The seller saw my Mopar hat, and said he had something I would like. He started lifting the tarp that was covering it and I knew right away what it was. I tried like hell to buy it but he wouldn't sell it.
So for about a month straight I called him everyday. Still not selling. In the mean time I bought a 67 Pontiac Lemans that needed a major restore for 500 bucks. But I was just going to fix it enough to get it down the 1/4 mile. But I continue to call the guy with the Bee. STILL not selling. Then one day it hits me. Other than the Superbee and the Camaro this guy had nothing but 60's Pontiac muscle cars . So I call him, and before I could say anything , he says it's not for sale and hangs up. So I call back and tell him not to hang up I have something he may want. I tell him about the Lemans. He then asks how much. So being the smart ass I tend to be. I say , it's not for sale. BUT i'll trade you it for the Bee. Without seeing the Lemans he takes the deal.
Without delay I hook to my truck and trailer and go get the Bee and 3 truck loads of EXTRA parts. The next day he comes and gets the Lemans, and he's happy with it. So I ask. Why didn't you take the extra money offered. He says what do you mean. I had told I would give him the lemans and what ever money he wanted for the Bee. But he either didn't hear me say that or misunderstood me.

Anyways I got a true wm code 68 Superbee for a $500 Lemans. Can you say deal of the century?

Wow! Very very nice. Great paint job Walt. Cool Love that color...love that body style. No one can appreciate the work that goes into a job like that... except for the one that actually does it.

Well here's a little bit of updated pics of the Bee. I decided to paint the stripes on instead of buying the decals. And like various other little details I changed, I also changed the stripes alittle. Can anyone tell what the difference's is I have changed on the stripes or the rest of the car so far?
.

Here's my son trying to be a Hemi for me.

Here's the real hemi being tested fitted.

The hemi still needs built. I just painted it up to see how it will look. And i needed to see what I have to do to get it to fit in the engine bay.

Thanks everyone. Yes she is coming along nicely. but I think i'm about done with it for the winter.

There really isn't any major issues getting the first gen hemi in there. Regular small block mounts work. I do have to use manual steering and brakes due to the tight fit. But that's no biggie. I would have had it that way no matter what engine I used. The only real issue is I have to find a center sump oil pan to clear the steering. And if I want headers( of course I do) I have to do a custom set to fit .
