Don't know about you guys, but I am biting at the bit in anticipation for Spring, and to bring out my "58' Impala. Its been a long winter, thank goodness for such classic movies like Christine to watch and melt away the cold. Keep up the good vibes here at CCC. Very Happy

That's a nice looking Chevy, Chain. It was sunny and 70 degrees here today in the Great State of Texas!

Brother I love that 58. YOU GOTTA POST SOME PICTURES! Ever since I saw American Graffiti as a kid I found respect for that car. I like it better than the 57!

I feel you. Cold here to and essentially impossible to get anything done. I hope to start my Christine this year and possibly drive her. Hope dwindles though as the cold keeps rolling in.

Where are you located Wayne? Here in Minnesota we had a couple days of spring like weather in the 40's, now we just got another 9 inches of snow and are headed back towards sub zero temps again!

Yes...It's been one unusually long winter here in upstate NY. I can usually get my driver out for a short jaunt when there's a break from the snow and when the roads are dry...but not this year. Yes Chris...I hear that single digit bitter cold is now headed our way. It won't be long now though. I bet in less than a month it'll be warming up. Here's one to warm things up...

70 degrees and sunny here, but after crashing the Fury, and the starter drive grenading in the '59 Dodge, I'm stuck driving my work truck temporarily. The nice weather does allow me to get more done on the '59 Sport Fury, though.

I thought I saw a post where John mentioned he was hit at a four-way stop or something (front fender damage maybe?). He said he was okay. Hate to see the wreck, though. Still, I'm for driving them and enjoying them while you can.

Guys,
It was nothing serious, as nobody was hurt. Last accident I was involved in was in '82, me and a girlfriend were leaving an outdoor concert [Go-Go's, Flock of Seagulls] when I was rear-ended by a drunk driver, a teenager in his folks LTD, my '56 Chevy I drove then was repaired, and put back on the road. No injuries there, either.
On the Fury-
Left front fender was ruined, front bumper bent, and the one bumper wing bent into the tire. As I have a big mess in my workplace with parts scattered, I decided to let the body shop where my wife works do the repairs. I made a deal with the owner to repaint the entire car, if I removed the glass, and all the chrome and trim. I plan on giving the old girl a facelift, after being a great daily driver since about 2002, and over 60,000 miles I've put on the clock. I had proper insurance, so this will allow me to fix paint chips, door dings in trim, I have a brand new replacement windshield to install, as well as I'm doing something special with the Sportone inserts, as long as the metal company can fill my order. My buddy that buys my core bumpers has already plated another bumper I supplied, and repaired the bent wing, and plated both fronts, at his cost.

Guess you might say, this is turning a bad deal into something good.

Glad to hear no one was hurt John....and that your Fury is fixable. Sounds like it will be a good deal for you...I've had a couple like that in my life.

I'll gladly do that, Wayne. I haven't had time to look into your suggestions regarding my photo host issues, gotta take off to look at some more cars for sale today, as a matter of fact.
