PostSubject: Jesus...He's the Answer   Sun Oct 05, 2014 2:50 pm

You're probably thinking that this statement is too hard to believe or... perhaps you're wondering exactly what it means?

Maybe you've only thought of Jesus Christ as some historical figure, or maybe you just think that He was a good man that taught some really good things long ago. Perhaps when Jesus Christ is mentioned, it makes you think of religion...or maybe just it's just a swearword to you? But believe you me...there's much more to Jesus Christ.

You see, Jesus cared so much for you that He paid the ultimate price. He willingly went to the cross as God's perfect sacrifice for our sins. He died a horrendous death that allows you the choice of a personal relationship with God...a relationship that brings you through rough times, that makes life worth living. Jesus said,  "I am come that you might have life and that you have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Jesus not only wanted you to have a better life here on this earth, but more importantly, so that you'd gain eternal life with Him in heaven. Eternal life means forever...which far outweighs our 70-80 years here. This is the blessed hope of all true followers of Jesus Christ. Is there any better hope anyone could ever have? Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:3-4

Insight: Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior? As the title of this message reads "Jesus...He's the answer", He came so you could have life and that you could have it more abundantly. He's also our blessed hope...your inheritance in heaven that can never perish, spoil or fade.

Dear Lord God, I pray that this message will be taken seriously...not just as "a nice reminder" to be a good person like Jesus was...but as an urgent desire to ask Jesus Christ into our hearts to be our Lord and Savior. We tend to forget that tomorrow may never come. Why do we need desperate times to think of You? Why do we have to hear desperate words like bankruptcy, divorce or cancer to think about You or to call on You? Let us never think of You only as a "911 god". The time for salvation and for an inheritance in heaven is right now.  In Jesus' blessed Name I pray, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12 cheers
