PostSubject: Magnify Your Maker   Fri Feb 27, 2015 11:20 pm

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

God gifts the Olympian with speed, the salesman with savvy, the surgeon with skill, the classic car restorer with the ultimate patience. Why? For gold medals, closed sales, healed bodies, perfectly straight body panels? Only partially. The big answer is that God endows us with gifts so we can make Him known.

Think about this. Did you ever watch a football game and see the fans going nuts rooting for their team to win? Why don't we get even a little excited for and about God? If we did, we might think about giving God the glory He deserves. Did you ever go to car show and see the people going ooh and ahh over the beautifully restored classics? Why don't we look at what God made (all around us) and go ooh and ahh at His creation which we get to enjoy each and every day? If we did, we might think about giving God the glory He deserves.

Let's make a point to live for Him and give Him the glory for all we do. Even if it's simple as doing our daily chores with a good attitude and a smile. God has given gifts to each of us from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well...and then God will be given glory. Exhibit God with your uniqueness too. When you magnify your Maker with your strengths, when your contribution enriches God's reputation, your days grow suddenly sweet.

Insight: Are you exhibiting the unique gifts God gave you and giving Him the glory? If so, keep up the good work. If not, you're most likely giving yourself the glory. The next time you get ready to show others what you've done, think about the One Who gave you your abilities and talents in the first place. He gave you your talents and abilities because He loves you. He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for you. He paid the price for your sins. Let's show Him some love back by giving Him the glory He deserves.

Prayer: Help me dear give you the glory for what I am able to do. Help me to realize that You gave me the strength to do all these things when you created me. Thank you for the gifts and uniqueness you have given me. In Jesus' Name Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12 cheers
