So i guess I've always had an affinity for a 4 door, hahahaha. My last "toy" was an 80's dream! I had a real nice 82' fifth ave and a beat 88' diplomat interceptor, so i combined the two. It was a lot of fun with the cam, headers and dual exhaust, i was always told it sounded great, people would hear this awesome sound rumbling into town then they'd see this grandpa car passing by and be like "what the ........", lol. It was fun but it was never really what i wanted. Been over 2 yrs since i sold it and i knew my next car would be a 58', i was over due for a fun car again!

Nice! Sounds like you're a talented mechanic then Brandon and this 58 fell into just the right hands. My brother had an old police car that looked like yours. He really liked that car...and enjoyed getting into the secondaries if you know what I mean...

I think its really fun to hot rod a car that someone would have never expected the type of car to be hot rodded. My '67 El Camino has had a motor swap, a Chevy 305 out of a '92 Caprice. Its a motor a lot of people refer to as "smog motors". But anyhow, I put a much better intake, carb, cam, and headers on that 305. Now it don't sound anything like what you would expect a 305 to sound like, and it performs very well too. So I get a lot of people that say that's a 327 you have in there, right? I say nope its a 305. And I get the reaction of youre kiddin! No way! That cant be! A lot of people don't believe me its a 305 by the way it sounds and performs. Smile

The absolute most comfortable cars too! It had pillow padded seats, if you were tired you were better off letting someone else drive, lol.
I miss that car until i look into the garage and see my SAVOY, thennnn....not so much!
