PostSubject: Still Praying?   Sun Sep 11, 2016 1:20 pm

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

The benefits of prayer are endless, the effectiveness of prayer is limitless and the opportunities in prayer are boundless. Today is the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our nation. Fifteen years ago...all of a sudden our hearts were open, prayer was welcomed, no policies could shut prayer out and no laws could wipe prayer out. Our nation's heart was broken because of this terrible tragedy. Many people were turning to God for help and comfort. How about today? Are we as open to God and talking to Him as we were then?

Today, God through prayer, invites you to receive of His grace and mercy whenever you are in need. He encourages you to ask, to knock and to call upon Him so that you may learn His will, know His heart and receive His answers. Your prayers can have an important part in seeing a lost soul saved, a weak person strengthened, a needy person helped, a weary person encouraged and a bound person set free. The opportunities and possibilities of prayer are vast.

Insight: Don't let a tragedy force you to your knees. Prepare in prayer now and realize that God is in every detail of your life and nothing is too hard for Him.

Reader's Prayer: Dear Lord, Help me to realize You're always ready to hear from us and that prayerlessness is carelessness. In Jesus' Name, Amen

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
