“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” Romans 1:16

Have you ever purchased a new product that didn’t work right? It may have been something high-end that blatant commercialism shouts at us every 10 minutes as we watch our favorite TV shows. Even the best manufacturers have some failure rate and it may be as low as .025% or less. That’s a pretty impressive failure rate, unless your eternal salvation depends on it. Then you want 0%, and that's how perfect the Gospel of Jesus Christ is!

The apostle, Paul made it clear; it is the power of God that brings salvation “to everyone who believes.” That means a 0% failure rate! Not one person whom He has chosen can slip away from Him.

When you share the Gospel with another, don’t worry about whether or not it will work. God’s Son, Jesus, took on Himself all of our sin, died in our place, was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven so that all who believe that good news are united to Him. There isn't a better time to remind everyone of this, as we quickly approach Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Salvation in Christ is a sure thing. His covenant faithfulness never fails!

Scripture focus: Romans 1:8-17 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+1%3A8-17&version=NKJV

Insight: Worried about your own salvation? Take heart and believe that God's Son, Jesus, took on Himself all of our sin, died in our place, was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven. Trust in the power of God through His perfect plan and He will see you through without fail.

Reader's Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ. Help us to realize it's power and perfection as we get our hearts ready for the most important of Christian Holidays. Help us to live and love one another, knowing that He is risen indeed! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Some that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ still may wonder if they'll be found worthy enough when they stand in front of Him, moments after their death.

Here's my answer and it's completely Biblical: Why would God send His only Son to earth to preach the good news, live a sinless 33 year life, then for the first time ever, be completely separated from Him, allow Him to die a horrific death on the cross with criminals next to Him, be buried, raise Him back to life again, be the sacrifice for the world for everyone who would believe/trust in His finished work...IF we had to add anything to it to be saved? (in other words, be worthy enough) Good works are not FOR our salvation, they're a PRODUCT of our salvation. Even when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that's not of us...it's of Him! He draws us to His Son because He loves us so much. Salvation is a free gift and we never need to worry if we are worthy or not because we are NOT worthy. No one is worthy, but Jesus is more than worthy. That's why God sent Him...to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. The Bible calls salvation "a narrow road" and we must find it...through Christ alone, never adding one other single thing to it. For when we do, we nullify Christ's finished work. That's why Jesus' last words on the cross were "it is finished."
